All I Need For Christmas - Everlasting God

Pastor Mike unwraps the Christmas Gift of the Everlasting God. How is it that the Son of God can be called the Father? Why is a Father such an important gift? For many of us, our view of the Heavenly Father is skewed by our own fathers. Is He trustworthy? Is He capable? Is He mad at us? Is He even here?
Listen to how Jesus shows us the kind of Father that we really desire, need!

All I Need For Christmas - Mighty God

Andrew Smith, Youth Pastor at Lifecoast, brings the second message of our series on Isaiah 9:6.
In our culture, we find many avenues to help us make decisions - Google, Bing, or Wikipedia. Isaiah gives us a promise that Jesus is our Mighty God - the one we can turn to in ALL circumstances, and the one who is able to take care of us in our troubles. Do we turn to Him, or the assistance form the world?

Intimacy With God

You can make people do many things, but you cannot make them go deeper in a relationship with you. No matter how hard you try, you cannot force someone to be intimate in your relationship. The Bible portrays God similarly as someone who loves His people, and desperately desires a deeper relationship, but continually gets stiff-armed and put at a distance. Listen as Pastor Mike uses the story of Martha and Mary in Luke 10 to show us how Jesus desires to be more than just "polite but distant" in our lives. He desires us to sit at His feet and be changed forever.

Today's circumstances can make many of us feel as if we have never realized our dreams in life. We wonder if God is ever going to come through for us and bless us with the spectacular. But the Bible says that our dreams are secondary to the Big Story of God. And if we want to live a dream, we should realize God's Dream for our lives as it plays out in His Big Story of the Kingdom. It's time to live out His dream for us!

Broken Road

Pastor Jeff continued in our Broken Series by taking us through the story of Jacob to show us sometimes we resist the road God has for us. We want the transformation that he has for us, but not the transportation God uses to get us there.
So, like Jacob, we take our own road at times, and suffer the hard consequences.
God allows this, and even uses these hard times in our lives because He cares more about our holiness than our happiness. Like Jacob, it's through brokenness that we come to the end of ourselves, and the beginning of God.

All of us will at one time be in a broken place. It's in those times we need to ask ourselves 2 questions: "What am I doing?" and "What is God doing?" We need to know first of all how we got to the place of being broken. And we need to understand what God has for us to learn while there! God surely desires to use this time for our good, and for His glory!

One Prayer # 4 - Who's Shepherding Your World?

Our One Prayer series has challenged us to be the answer to Jesus prayer. This month has seen Lifecoast Church reaching out and loving our community to be Christ's Ambassadors. Listen as Pastor Mike brings this series to a close. In Matthew 9 Jesus looked out upon the crowd and had compassion - as they were harassed and helpless, and without a shepherd. he then sent his followers out to minister to them.
Our world is in the same condition today, but who has He sent to shepherd them? The answer might surprise you.

One Prayer 2- The Spaces

Pastor Jeff teaches from Matthew 28:19-20, and Acts 17:16-20. We have a mission as the Church, and as Christians to take the message of hope and peace from our Comfortable Spaces (the church on Sunday) to the Common Spaces (the marketplace, Starbuck's, our work place) and even into the outer Spaces (neighbor's homes). Paul was comfortable speaking about God in the Common Space with the hope he might get invited into the homes and places of the seeker, where the message of God changes lives. Our prayer - is that we unite and take the message of Jesus' to them, and not wait for them to come to us!
