It's Super Bowl Sunday - and many are excited about their team. But watching the interviews, it seems our society is growing more individualistic all the time. And it looks no different in the church. But God never intended for us to do life all alone. Jesus modeled a lifestyle with his disciples that exemplified TEAM. And they "did life" together as they all learned how to look more like Jesus. And when the Game of Life came...the team was able to work together and have victory bringing others to Jesus! But after every big play, they returned to the huddle (Acts 2:46) to get encouragement and new strength for the next play.
At Lifecoast, growth Groups are a big part of what we do...it's where the church really meets!

Pastor Jeff closes our series teaching about the new levels we can get to by times of prayer and fasting. After a commitment, we can feel on top of a mountain spiritually, so close to God, but beware, with new levels come new devils. The enemy doesn't want you to be effective for God, and in fact, he would rather have you back at the bottom. So he's coming with all the old tricks to trip you up.
Pastor Jeff goes through Joshua to show us how to face those enemy kings that we face at new levels!

Sometimes God uses tragedy to remind us what is truly important. When notified of the Haiti crisis, and the Three Angels orphans who needed a home, God's love compelled His people to mobilize and pray, and we watched God work a miracle by getting the kids into homes in the U.S.
Paul tells us in 2 Cor. 5 that the love of Christ, who died for ALL men, should compel us to act in their behalf in everyday life! Whether its orphans in Haiti, or a neighbor on your street - many face a crisis of living without the Love of Christ. God's calling us to not live for ourselves anymore, but to live for others, and bring them home to the Father with the Love of Christ.

Pastor Jeff explores how praying and fasting can draw you closer to God in our thinking. It's important that we be transformed in our minds to God's thoughts and will. But we need to make sure our source for thinking is drawing from the Truth of God's Word, so that we can "love the Lord with all our minds."

Through Matthew 6&9, Jesus teaches us that fasting brings us into Agreement with God that we need more of Him, Alignment with God's Spirit so that we walk in His ways, and it brings the Assignment from God that mean a life filled with purpose and direction. Andrew Smith, Youth Pastor at Lifecoast, brings the second message of our series on Isaiah 9:6.
In our culture, we find many avenues to help us make decisions - Google, Bing, or Wikipedia. Isaiah gives us a promise that Jesus is our Mighty God - the one we can turn to in ALL circumstances, and the one who is able to take care of us in our troubles. Do we turn to Him, or the assistance form the world?

This Christmas we look at Isaiah 9:6, and the prophecy of the Messiah. Pastor Mike speaks about Jesus as our Wonderful Counselor. He is far superior then any worldly counselor. He is the Giver of Truth. He is our Guide in Life. He offers us support along the way. And He gives us great Hope for what's ahead!

Chris Irwin wraps up our Broken Series by speaking of broken dreams. Today's circumstances can make many of us feel as if we have never realized our dreams in life. We wonder if God is ever going to come through for us and bless us with the spectacular. But the Bible says that our dreams are secondary to the Big Story of God. And if we want to live a dream, we should realize God's Dream for our lives as it plays out in His Big Story of the Kingdom. It's time to live out His dream for us!

This week Pastor Mike deals with the hard subject of sexual immorality, and pornography. Of all the things we should be broken for as Christ-followers, purity is the most important. But the world we live in makes this all but impossible! The enemy has used the media in a mighty way to bombard us with impurity. Listen today as we tackle the problem of sexual impurity, and discover ways to break free from the bondage!

Our 4th in the Broken Series. Pastor Jeff shows us through the story of Jacob how broken relationships always have their root in our own selfishness, but ultimately rests in our broken relationship with God. Find out how to repair our broken relationships through reconciliation and humility.

Our third in the Broken Series as we deal with being broken financially. Many today find themselves in a tough position, but it's not because of the economy. More often than not it's because we don't understand God's Financial Principles. Look at 2 Cor. 9 with us and find that the key to being healthy financially, is to be a healthy giver.

Pastor Jeff continued in our Broken Series by taking us through the story of Jacob to show us sometimes we resist the road God has for us. We want the transformation that he has for us, but not the transportation God uses to get us there.
So, like Jacob, we take our own road at times, and suffer the hard consequences.
God allows this, and even uses these hard times in our lives because He cares more about our holiness than our happiness. Like Jacob, it's through brokenness that we come to the end of ourselves, and the beginning of God.

Pastor Mike brings the first of our Broken series by studying Naomi from Ruth ch. 1. All of us will at one time be in a broken place. It's in those times we need to ask ourselves 2 questions: "What am I doing?" and "What is God doing?" We need to know first of all how we got to the place of being broken. And we need to understand what God has for us to learn while there! God surely desires to use this time for our good, and for His glory!

Pastor Mike continues our series by looking at 1 Cor. 12:1. We are told by Paul, among many other things we can know as believers, our Spiritual Gifts are something we should not be ignorant of, because we are all part of God's Sacred Building Project (1 Cor. 3), and we are Fellow workers with Him. It's time we understand what it is He wants us to do, and how He has gifted us to do it.

Pastor Jeff begins our series and helps us understand the different lists of gifts, and that the basis of everything we do within the church should be the Love of Christ.

On this the weekend we celebrate our independence, we are remeinded that the Bible tells us that if we know Christ as Lord and Savior then we are FREE. But the question lingers in our minds - If I still sometimes struggle with sin, what exaclty am I free from? Listen to Pastor Mike as he deals with this question which many of us are asking.
